Double click the Malwarebytes - Anti-Malware icon on your desktop.
Here we see the open screen. Most of the time it will tell you that your database is out of date, these are the definitions and rules of what is Maleware. So we always want to have the latest version. The system will also warn you if there is a new version of the software and will download and install it for you.
Click the Fix Now Button or the Update button next to the Database Version line.
The system will start to download and then install the latest database. We want to wait until this is finished before we move forward.
Now we want to click the Scan Now button.
Now the software will go thru 7 separate scans. Each one is a different part of your operating system and computer.
The scan will take some time, you can do other things on the computer while this is running or you can go do something else and let the computer finish

When the scan has completed and it has found some threats it will almost always find something.
The screen will look like this. Just click Remove Selected.
Depending on the type of items found you may receive a message that you have to reboot.
Once you complete the reboot your computer is all fixed.
